I’m now here at one of the world-famous fried chicken chains, always packed with customers waiting in line to be seated. There are three words to describe this restaurant’s chicken, says some, it’s crispy, tender and flavorsome. This Korean-style fried chicken chain, BonChon Chicken, which came from Korea, to the US, and is now in Bangkok!

บอนชอน ชิคเก้น ได้รับการโหวตให้เป็น ‘ปีกไก่ทอดที่ดีที่สุดในนิวยอร์ค’ และความลับที่อยู่เบื้องหลังความสำเร็จของร้านนี้ก็คือ ไก่ทอดที่อร่อยที่สุด กรอบที่สุด และชุ่มที่สุด นี่ล่ะค่ะ หลายๆคนเรียกร้านนี้ว่าเป็นร้านอาหารฟาสต์ฟู้ด แต่พอมาดูในส่วนของสไตล์การตกแต่งแล้วเนี่ย ดูเหมือนจะไม่ใช่ซะทีเดียวค่ะ ทางร้านตกแต่งได้อย่างทันสมัย โดยเน้นสีดำ-แดง เป็นหลัก นอกจากนี้ที่นั่งก็กว้างพอตัวเลย ทำให้ลูกค้าพกรอยยิ้มกลับบ้านไปในทุกๆครั้งที่มาใช้บริการ ส่วนตัวเป็นแฟนตัวยงของบอนชอนอยู่แล้วด้วย ก็เลยปฏิเสธไม่ได้เลยค่ะว่าเมื่อไหร่ก็ตามที่นึกอยากจะทานไก่ ทอดขึ้นมา บอนชอน ชิคเก้นนี่แหละก็จะโผล่ขึ้นมาในหัวเป็นอันดับแรก ตามมาชิมเมนูเด็ดของร้านนี้กันดีกว่าค่ะ ลองดูซิว่าคุณจะชอบเหมือนเราหรือเปล่า!

I often start off my meal at BonChon Chicken with a light appetizer like the basic french fries. The dish served here is not just french fries with a simple ketchup dip, but it’s served along with house special spicy mayo sauce. It’s sour and a bit spicy, giving it such a flavorful taste when dipped. The amount served is more than enough to share with a couple of friends.

โดยปกติแล้ว เราจะเริ่มมื้ออาหารที่บอนชอน ชิคเก้น ด้วยของว่างเรียกน้ำย่อยแบบเบาๆก่อนค่ะ สั่งเฟรนฟรายมาทานกันหน่อย เฟรนฟรายของที่นี่เนี่ยไม่ได้ธรรมดาๆแบบจิ้มซอสมะเขือเทศทานนะคะ แต่ทางร้านเขามีซอสสูตรพิเศษเป็น สไปซี่มาโยเสิร์ฟคู่มาด้วยค่ะ รสจะออกเปรี้ยวๆมันๆแล้วก็เผ็ดนิดๆ ตัดกับรสชาติของเฟรนฟรายดีค่ะ อร่อยมาก ปริมาณก็เยอะพอตัว แชร์กับเพื่อนๆได้หลายคนอยู่ค่ะ แต่ถ้าทานคนเดียว ระวังจะอิ่มเกินไปนะคะ

Before picking your favorite fried chicken dish, I recommend that you try a set of BonChon Chicken‘s Soondubu Soft Tofu Soup. It’s a famous traditional Korean hot and sour soup with kimchi, soft tofu, mushroom and egg. The taste of the soup is very rich but it’s not too spicy so children can also give it a try. Soondubu Soft Tofu Soup tastes the best when the raw egg placed on top starts cooking and mixed in the hot soup. Eaten along with a bowl of hot rice is the perfect combo!

ก่อนที่จะมาลุยกับเมนูไก่ทอด แนะนำให้สั่งเซท ซุปซุนดูบู ของบอนชอนมาทานกันดูค่ะ เป็นซุปเต้าหู้รสจัดสูตรดั้งเดิมของเกาหลี ใส่กิมจิ เต้าหู้ เห็ด เสิร์ฟร้อนๆในหม้อพร้อมไข่ไก่สดด้านบน รสชาติของซุปเข้มข้นมากแต่ไม่เผ็ดเกินไปค่ะ เด็กๆก็ลองชิมได้นะ เมนูนี้จะอร่อยที่สุดก็ตอนที่ไข่ไก่สดด้านบนค่อยๆสุกทีละนิด เดือดปุดๆ และกระจายตัวไปทั่วหม้อ ยิ่งทานคู่กับข้าวร้อนๆ ยิ่งอร่อยอย่าบอกใครเลยล่ะค่ะ

Now, it’s time to try their world-famous chicken! Here at BonChon Chicken, they offer 2 kinds of chicken glazes, the Soy Garlic glaze and the Hot glaze. If you order medium or large size, you can have the 2 glazes mixed. As a BonChon lover myself, I prefer Soy Garlic to Hot glaze since I find the hot one way too spicy for me.

ตอนนี้ก็ถึงเวลาของเมนูไก่ทอดแล้ว! ที่ร้าน บอนชอน ชิคเก้น มีไก่ทอดให้เลือกทาน 2 รสค่ะ คือ ซอย การ์ลิค กับ ฮอท ถ้าสั่งไก่ไซส์ M หรือ L ก็จะเลือก 2 รสผสมกันได้ ในฐานะที่เป็นคนที่ทานบอนชอนบ่อยอยู่แล้ว ต้องบอกว่าชอบซอย การ์ลิคมากกว่าค่ะ เพราะฮอทเผ็ดเกินไปหน่อย

Bonchon boneless is my all-time favorite. The size varies from 6, 10 to 18 pcs. I always go with the medium size of 10 pcs, and most of the time I choose pure Soy Garlic flavor but there’s also sometimes that I have them mixed to share with friends who want to try the hot glaze. Along with the chicken, you can pick 1 side dish from these Four, (if you order the large size, then you can have Two); coleslaw, Kimchi coleslaw, rice and sticky rice. Personally, sticky rice is the best match with the Bonchon boneless. The chicken are very crunchy from the outside and tender inside, as expected. With BonChon’s special Soy Garlic sauce coating the skin, it becomes super tasty and juicy. In every bite, the taste of the sauce is very rich and the chicken breading is amazingly crispy throughout the whole meal. As for the hot ones, my friends can’t survive the spiciness!

เนื้อไก่บอนชอนแบบไร้กระดูก เป็นเมนูที่ชอบทานเป็นอันดับ 1 ในใจเลยค่ะ ไซส์มีให้เลือกตั้งแต่ 6 10 ไปจนถึง 18 ชิ้น ส่วนใหญ่จะเลือกทานไซส์ M 10 ชิ้น และเลือกเป็นซอส การ์ลิคล้วนๆเลย แต่บางครั้งก็จะสั่งเป็นแบบผสม แชร์กับเพื่อนที่อยากทานแบบฮอทด้วย นอกจากไก่แล้ว ทางร้านก็ให้เราเลือกเครื่องเคียงได้ 1 อย่างจาก 4 อย่างนี้นะคะ (ถ้าสั่งไซส์ L เลือกได้ 2 อย่าง); โคลสลอว์ กิมจิโคลสลอว์ ข้าว และข้าวเหนียว แอบกระซิบว่า ข้าวเหนียวทานคู่กับไก่ เด็ดที่สุดแล้วค่ะ ในส่วนของรสชาตินั้นกรอบนอกนุ่มใน ที่อร่อยที่สุดก็คือตัวซอสซอย การ์ลิคชองบอนชอนที่เคลือบจนทั่วชิ้นนี่แหละ ในทุกๆที่คำที่ทาน รับรองว่าจะได้รสชาติอันเข้มข้นของซอส และฟินกับความ กรุบกรอบไปจนชิ้นสุดท้าย ในส่วนของรสฮอทนั้น เพื่อนที่อยากลองทานเผ็ด ถึงกับหุบปากไม่ลงเลยค่ะ ประทับใจในความเผ็ดแซ่บนี้จริงๆ

If you still feel like needing something a bit more, then try their Takoyaki, it looks like a fishball with octopus filling, glazed with Bonchon soy garlic sauce, topped with mayonnaise, green onion and dried fish. Some usually finish their meal at BonChon Chicken with their salad. Give either Crispy Tofu Salad or Spicy Seaweed Salad a try. It’s a great complement to a big BonChon meal!

ถ้ายังไม่อิ่ม แนะนำให้สั่ง ทาโกะยากิ มาทานกันต่อค่ะ ไส้ด้านในคือปลาหมึก ส่วนด้านนอกก็ทาด้วยซอส ซอย การ์ลิคจนทั่ว ราดด้วยมายองเนส โรยด้วยปลาแห้งและต้นหอม บางคนก็ชอบสั่งสลัดมาทานปิดท้ายค่ะ บอนชอนมีสลัดให้เลือกทานหลายเมนูอยู่เหมือนกัน แต่ขอแนะนำเป็น สลัดเต้าหู้ทอด คลุกเคล้าด้วยน้ำสลัดงา หรือ สลัดสาหร่ายไข่กุ้งรสเผ็ด นะคะ เป็นอีกหนึ่งตัวเลือกที่จะทำให้มื้ออาหารของคุณที่บอนชอนสมบูรณ์แบบเชียวล่ะ
