Panda Peeks – Iberry

There’s no denying that a few scoops of your favorite ice-cream is one of the best remedies for Bangkok’s super hot weather! Having been called an ‘ice-cream addict’ by many of my friends, I’m always the one who decides where to go for ice cream, every time we need a refreshing treat after class. Out of the countless number of ice-cream shops I’ve visited, only few have become my favorite, and one of these is the sweet café I’m about to take you to in this week’s Panda Peeks feature. We’re here at Iberry, where premium, homemade multi-style ice cream and desserts are truly satisfying!

ปฏิเสธไม่ได้เลยค่ะว่าไอศกรีมเย็นๆซักลูกสองลูก เป็นวิธีคลายร้อนที่ดีที่สุด สำหรับอากาศแบบนี้ในบ้านเรา ส่วนตัวถูกเพื่อนๆเรียกว่า ‘เจ้าแม่ไอศกรีม’ มาตั้งแต่ไหนแต่ไรแล้วค่ะ เวลาเลิกเรียนแล้วอยากจะหาอะไรทานให้สดชื่นกับเพื่อนๆในแก๊งค์ เรานี่แหละก็มักจะเป็นคนเลือกว่าจะไปทานไอศกรีมที่ร้านไหนกันดี ในบรรดาร้านไอศกรีมทั้งหลายที่เคยไปตระเวนชิมกันมา จริงๆแล้วก็มีอยู่ไม่กี่ร้านค่ะที่ถูกใจเป็นพิเศษ และหนึ่งในนั้นก็คือร้านที่เรากำลังจะพาทุกคนไปใน Panda Peeks ประจำสัปดาห์นี้ ยินดีต้อนรับสู่ร้าน Iberry ร้านไอศกรีมยอดฮิตที่มาพร้อมกับไอศกรีมรสชาติพรีเมี่ยมที่พร้อมจะทำให้คุณละลายไปพร้อมๆกัน!

I arrived at J-avenue, Thonglor 15 late in the afternoon and headed directly to Iberry Café on the first floor. Actually, the café has several branches around Bangkok but since I personally enjoy the atmosphere of their Thonglor’s branch, I come here quite often. Though dinner time was approaching, I decided to skip any snack and indulged in Iberry’s desserts for now!

เรามาถึง J avenue ในซอยทองหล่อ 15 ในช่วงสายๆค่ะ แล้วก็พุ่งตรงไปที่ร้าน Iberry Cafe’ ที่ชั้น 1 เลย จริงๆแล้วร้านนี้เขามีสาขาอยู่ทั่วกรุงเทพฯเลยนะคะ แต่ส่วนตัวชอบการตกแต่งร้านของสาขานี้เป็นพิเศษ ก็เลยเลือกมาที่นี่อยู่บ่อยๆ และถึงแม้ตอนนี้จะใกล้เวลาของมื้อกลางวันแล้ว วันนี้เราของดของคาว 1 วันค่ะ ข้ามมาดื่มด่ำความอร่อยในโลกแห่งของหวานที่ Iberry กันเลยดีกว่า!

My all-time favorite on Iberry’s menu is the Happy 2 Gether Set of Brownie served with one [THB 159] or two [THB 189] ice-cream scoops of your choice. I ordered this menu like I always do and my cravings this time were the one with sweet Nutella and the other is the sour Lemon Sorbet. As for my drink, I went with their Very Raspberry.

เมนูที่ชอบที่สุดและต้องสั่งเป็นประจำทุกครั้งเวลามาที่ร้าน Iberry ก็คือเซท Happy 2 Gether โดยเลือกสั่งเป็นบราวนี่คู่ไอศกรีมค่ะ เราสามารถเลือกได้ว่าจะรับไอศกรีมแค่ 1 ลูกหรือ 2 ลูกไปเลย เราสั่งเมนูนี้เหมือนทุกครั้งค่ะ และรสชาติไอศกรีมที่เราเลือกคราวนี้ก็เป็นแบบหวานๆรส Nutella ลูกนึง ส่วนอีกลูก ขอเป็นรสเปรี้ยวๆอย่าง Lemon Sorbet ส่วนเครื่องดื่ม สั่งเป็นน้ำปั่นที่มีชื่อว่า Very Raspberry มาลองชิมดูค่ะ

My ice-cream was served in less than 10 minutes and the brownie looked amazingly tempting! Iberry’s brownie was rich with chocolate and it was soft yet a bit chewy. I found the sweetness level just right for my palate and the portion served is just enough. Now, I tried it with the Nutella scoop and loved it so much! It was the best combination. But when I changed to Lemon Sorbet, the taste was a bit strange when sourness, sweetness and bitterness were all combined. Eating the Lemon Sorbet scoop alone was better, for sure. The Very Raspberry drink I ordered tasted great, too. It was very refreshing and it didn’t taste too sour for me.

ผ่านไปประมาณ 10 นาที ไอศกรีมก็มาเสิร์ฟแล้ว บอกเลยค่ะว่าบราวนี่หน้าตาเย้ายวนน่าทานสุดๆ! ตัวบราวนี่ของ Iberry นั้นเข้มข้นมาก รสช็อคโกแลตแน่นสุดๆ ตัวเนื้อบราวนี่ก็นุ่มๆหนึบๆค่ะ ระดับความหวานกำลังพอดี เช่นเดียวกับปริมาณ ใช้ได้เลยค่ะ ตอนนี้มาลองทานพร้อมกับไอศกรีมกันบ้าง ทานคู่กับรส Nutella แล้วชอบมากเลย รสชาติเข้ากันได้ดีมากๆเลยค่ะ แต่พอลองเปลี่ยนมาทานคู่กับ Lemon Sorbet แล้วรู้สึกว่ารสแปล่งๆนิดนึงค่ะ เพราะความเปรี้ยว ความหวาน และรสขมนิดๆผสมเข้ากันแล้ว ออกจะแปลกๆซักหน่อย จริงๆแล้วถ้าทานแค่ตัวไอศกรีมอย่างเดียวก็อร่อยดีค่ะ รสชาติดีเลยแหละ แต่พอมาทานคู่กับบราวนี่ ไม่ถูกปากเท่าไหร่ค่ะ ส่วนเครื่องดื่มที่ชื่อว่า Very Raspberry รสชาติโอเค ดื่มแล้วสดชื่นมากแล้วก็ไม่เปรี้ยวจนเกินไปด้วยค่ะ

I still have a lot more space left in my stomach, now let’s move on to try Iberry’s cakes! Instead of choosing from the menu list, I went directly to the counter where a variety of cakes were displayed, and tried to pick a few that attracted me the most. My first choice was the Strawberry Short Cake, with that big Strawberry on top, and my second choice was the Green Tea Roll.

ณ ตอนนี้ ยังพอมีพื้นที่ในกระเพาะเหลืออยู่เยอะเลยค่ะ ไปต่อกันที่เค้กของ Iberry ดีกว่า! คราวนี้ไม่อยากจิ้มจากเมนูแล้วอ่ะ ก็เลยขอเดินไปดูหน้าตู้เค้กเองเลยค่ะ พยายามเลือกอันที่ดูแล้วดึงดูดเรามากที่สุด ชิ้นแรกที่สั่งคือเจ้า Strawberry Short Cake ที่มีสตรอเบอร์รี่ลูกโตอยู่ด้านบน ตามมาด้วย Green Tea Roll ชิ้นพอดีคำอีก 1 จานค่ะ

Iberry’s Strawberry Short Cake was superb! The layers were soft and creamy with fresh Strawberry slices hidden in between. They were a bit sour but when eaten along with white fresh cream, the taste was just balanced. I loved the cream so much because it was so soft and fluffy. My only disappointment was that the big strawberry on top didn’t taste as juicy as I expected, but overall, this shortcake was definitely worth it.

Strawberry Short Cake ของ Iberry คือฟินมากกกก! อร่อยถูกปากสุดๆเลยค่ะ ชั้นเค้กนั้นนุ่มลิ้นมากๆแล้วก็มีชิ้นสตรอเบอร์รี่สดแทรกอยู่ตรงกลางด้วย รสชาติออกจะเปรี้ยวๆหน่อยแต่พอทานคู่กับครีมสดหวานๆสีขาวนวลแล้ว ก็ลงตัวกำลังดีเลยล่ะค่ะ ส่วนตัวชอบครีมมากๆเลย มันทั้งนุ่มแล้วก็ฟู ที่แอบตินิดนึงก็คือสตรอเบอร์รี่ลูกโตด้านบนค่ะ ทานแล้วรู้สึกว่ามันไม่ได้ฉ่ำเหมือนที่หวังไว้เท่าไหร่ แต่โดยรวมแล้ว ต้องบอกว่าเค้กชิ้นนี้ควรค่าแก่การลองทานมากๆอ่ะ

Thinking that another roll could still fit in my stomach, I proceeded to try Iberry’s Green Tea Roll. I’m actually not a green tea lover but I have to confess here that this roll tasted heavenly. It was soft throughout the whole piece and the green tea cream stuffed inside was so rich and full-flavored. The price of THB 50 was also reasonable compared to its size, taste and presentation.

เราคิดว่ายังสามารถทานเค้กโรลไหวอีกซักชิ้นค่ะ ก็เลยจัด Green Tea Roll ต่อซะเลย พนักงานของ Iberry เขาแนะนำว่าให้สั่งมาทานคู่กับไอศกรีมอีก 1 ลูก แต่วันนี้เราทานไป 2 ลูกแล้วอ่ะ ทานต่อไม่ไหวแล้วจริงๆ ก็เลยบอกเขาไปว่าขอแค่โรลกับวิปครีมก็พอค่ะ จริงๆแล้วเราไม่ใช่คอชาเขียวเลยนะ แต่ต้องบอกว่าเจ้าโรลชาเขียวชิ้นนี้ ดีจริงค่ะ รสชาติดีมาก นุ่มทั่วไปทั้งชิ้นโดยเฉพาะตรงครีมชาเขียวเนี่ย รสชาติเข้มข้นมาก แถมราคาก็น่ารักกำลังดี ชิ้นนี้ 50 บาทเท่านั้นค่ะ ถือว่าคุ้มค่านะถ้าเทียบกับขนาด รสชาติ รวมไปถึงการตกแต่งจานเล็กๆน้อยๆด้วย

If you still have a room in your stomach left or if you’re wanting to try something else, I recommend that you go for their Banana Strawberry Waffle, and their Original Honey Toast. They’re both slices of heaven for those with a sweet tooth!

ก่อนจะกลับบ้านกัน ถ้าใครยังพอจะมีพื้นที่บรรจุของหวานเหลืออยู่บ้าง ขอแนะนำอีก 2 เมนูของ Iberry ให้ชิมกันนะคะ จานแรกคือ Banana Strawberry Waffle ซึ่งเป็นอีกหนึ่งเมนูฮิตของทางร้าน หรือจะสั่งเป็น Original Honey Toast มาทานดูก็อร่อยไม่แพ้กันค่ะ เรียกได้ว่าเป็นสวรรค์ของคอของหวานทั้ง 2 จานเลยแหละ
