An evening stroll and today’s big appetite brought me to Royal Crepe. A friend of mine has been convincing me for god knows how long to drop by this place and try fresh and yummy crepe (and maybe some heavenly delicious light meals they serve.) And I’ve got a feeling that today’s a good day to have some crepes for dinner. I mean, why not? Royal Crepe is located in one of the most dynamic areas of Bangkok, not so far away from Ratchathewi BTS station, you can take a short walk of fewer than 12 minutes to this cosy place to enjoy the fresh and tasty food.
วันนี้อากาศไม่ค่อยร้อนมากเท่าไหร่เลยตัดสินใจออกไปเดินเล่นตอนเย็นๆค่ะ เดินไปเดินมาก็เดินมาจนถึงแถวๆถนนเพชรบุรี ใกล้ๆกับสถานีรถไฟฟ้าราชเทวีพอดี นึกขึ้นได้ว่าเพื่อนเคยบอกว่าแถวนี้มีร้านเครปร้านนึง ชื่อว่า Royal Crepe ค่ะ อร่อยมากๆ พยายามจะให้มาลองทานอยู่หลายหนแต่ไม่มีโอกาสได้มาลองสักที วันนี้ผ่านมาแถวนี้พอดี แถมยังหิวมากด้วยเลยถือโอกาสทานเครปเป็นอาหารเย็นเลยละกันนะคะ ร้าน Royal Crepe นี้ตั้งอยู่ไม่ไกลจากรถไฟฟ้าสถานีราชเทวีเท่าไหร่ เดินตรงเข้ามาตามถนนเพชรบุรีประมาณ 12 นาทีก็ได้ทานอาหารสดใหม่ แถมยังอร่อยมากๆที่ร้านเครปบรรยากาศสบายๆใจกลางกรุงเทพฯแล้วค่ะ
It didn’t take me long to realise that Royal Crepe’s menu is packed with not only sweet and savoury crepes but quite a good number of foods and beverages including wraps, pizza and shakes. So, I started off the meal drinking to beat the summer heat with Mango Milkshake. This is a thick, creamy and yummy milkshake. The sweet and tropical smell of fresh mango, my personal favourite fruit, is beyond amazing. Here they use only local fruits and homemade syrup to make every shake they serve.
ตอนแรกได้ยินชื่อร้าน Royal Crepe ก็แอบคิดว่า ทั้งร้านจะมีแค่เครปหรือเปล่านะ แต่พอได้ดูเมนูแล้ว ขอบอกเลยว่า ที่นี่ไม่ได้ขายแค่เมนูเครปนะคะ นอกจากที่นี่เสิร์ฟเครปที่มีให้เลือกทั้งแบบคาว แบบหวานแล้ว ยังมีแซนด์วิชแรป พิซซ่า แล้วก็มิลค์เชคด้วยค่ะ ก่อนจะสั่งอาหารมาทาน ขอเริ่มด้วย Mango Milkshake ดับร้อนให้หายเหนื่อยจากการเดินเล่นยามเย็นก่อนเลยละกัน มิลค์เชคที่นี่เข้มข้นมากๆ แถมกลิ่นมะม่วงสุกผลไม้สุดโปรดยังหอมหวานอีกด้วย ขอแอบกระซิบนิดนึงค่ะว่าที่นี่ใช้ผลไม้ท้องถิ่น และโฮมเมดไซรัปในการทำมิลค์เชคทุกแก้วค่ะ
I’m ready to actually start to fill my appetite. I chose to start with something light like Ham and Cheese Wrap. Royal Crepe offers homemade wrap made fresh every day. The wrap I ordered is filled with delicious smoked ham, gooey cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato, cucumber pickles, corn, with special mustard and mayo dressing to bring the extra kick. Every fresh wrap here is served with chips and full-flavoured dipping sauce.
หลังจากได้มิลค์เชคเย็นๆชื่นใจแล้ว ก็ขอทานอาหารแก้หิวกันเลยดีกว่า เมนูที่นี่มีให้เลือกเยอะ แล้วก็น่าทานหลายอย่างมากๆ ขอเริ่มจากแซนด์วิชแร็พก่อนเลย เพราะทางร้านบอกมาว่า แร็พที่นี่ ทำสดใหม่ทุกวัน แร็พที่สั่งมาคือ Ham and Cheese Wrap ค่ะ แป้งแร็พนุ่มอร่อย ไส้มีแฮมรมควัน ชีส ผักกาด มะเขือเทศ แตงกวาดอง และข้าวโพดเป็นส่วนประกอบ แล้วก็ใส่มัสตาร์ด และมายองเนสสูตรพิเศษ แร็พที่นี่เสิร์ฟมาพร้อมกับฟรายส์ แล้วก็ซอสรสชาติจัดจ้านค่ะ
If you’re still hungry, then it’s a nice idea to try one or two savoury crepes. I moved on to Chicken Bechamel Crepe. It’s a buttery crepe stuffed with grilled chicken, mushroom, special bechamel sauce (or white sauce and its is considered mother sauce of French cuisine), garlic pesto and white pepper to add the finishing touch. I have to admit that I actually thought the taste of garlic pesto and pepper will dominate the taste but it actually went really well together and complimented the crepe filling.
สำหรับใครที่ยังหิวอยู่ ลองสั่งเครปไส้คาวมาลองทานดูนะคะ แนะนำให้ลอง Chicken Bechamel Crepe แป้งเครปหอมเนยมาก ไส้เครปทำจากไก่ เห็ด ซอสเบชาเมล ซึ่งเป็นซอสสารพัดประโยชน์ของตำรับอาหารฝรั่งเศส ซอสเพสโต้กระเทียม โรยด้วยพริกไทยเล็กน้อย ตอนแรกที่เห็นว่ามีส่วนผสมของกระเทียม เพสโต้ซอสที่ทำจากโหระพา แล้วยังมีพริกไทยอีก แล้วใส่มาในไส้เครปนี่จะอร่อยหรือเปล่านะ แต่พอได้ทานจริงๆถึงรู้ว่าอร่อยมากเลยค่ะ เข้ากันได้ดีกับตัวไส้แล้วก็เครปหอมๆมันๆสุดๆ
Now it’s time to activate your dessert-love sensors with a wide selection of sweet crepes! Here at Royal Crepe, they have a wide selection of sweet crepe to satisfy your sugar cravings. I decided to stay a bit healthy with Strawberry, Banana and Honey Crepe. Fresh fruit combo of banana and strawberry and a little touch of honey go really great with light and fluffy crepe.
และตอนนี้ก็ถึงเวลาที่คนรักของหวานรอคอยกันแล้ว ที่ Royal Crepe มีเมนูของหวาน (แน่นอนว่าทำจากเครป)ให้เลือกอร่อยเยอะมากๆ แต่วันนี้ขอใช้ชีวิตวิถีคนรักสุขภาพเล็กน้อยด้วย เครป สตรอเบอรี่ กล้วย ทอปด้วยน้ำผึ้ง ผลไม้สดๆนี่เข้ากับเครปได้ดีมากเลยค่ะ แถมโรยด้วยน้ำผึ้งเล็กน้อย อร่อยเข้ากันกับเครปเบาๆนุ่มๆของที่ร้านมากๆ
I personally have a soft spot for crepe cake and chocolate (well, who doesn’t?) that’s why I decided to order Tart Crepe Cake. Layers and layers of thin crepe filled with Nutella, peanut butter, oreo, and hazelnut. This irresistible crepe cake is sure to impress! It is the perfect delicate treat to end a meal.
ปกติแล้ว เป็นคนที่เห็นเครปเค้กกับช็อกโกแลตไม่ได้ แพ้ทางตลอด (มีใครบ้างล่ะคะที่ไม่ชอบช็อกโกแลต จริงมั้ย?) แล้วที่ร้านนี้มีเครปเค้กให้เลือกทานด้วย เลยไม่พลาดที่จะสั่ง Tart Crepe Cake มาลองชิม ขั้นเครปอัดแน่นไปด้วยนูเทลล่า, เนยถั่ว, โอรีโอ้, และฮาเซลนัท รสชาติอร่อยเข้ากันมากๆ นับว่าเป็นการจบมื้ออาหารที่ปรีดิ์เปรมมื้อหนึ่งเลยทีเดียวล่ะค่ะ
