Panda Peeks – The Manhattan Fish Market

Inspired by the Fulton Fish Market, a well-known place to a diverse collection of the freshest seafood in town, The Manhattan Fish Market has been serving various American-style seafood choices, with more than 67 restaurants in Asia and the Middle East. Its priority is to serve every guest with the freshest and tastiest offerings in a casual dining atmosphere. Luckily, we do not need to fly a long way to Manhattan in New York to taste these dishes since The Manhattan Fish Market has expanded its branch here in Bangkok! This week, foodpanda visited this restaurant and we’re ready to share with you our dining experience in this city’s must-visit seafood restaurant!

ร้าน เดอะแมนฮัตตันฟิชมาร์เกต ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจากตลาดปลา Fulton ซึ่งเป็นแหล่งของทะเลที่สดใหม่ที่สุดในเมือง ร้านอาหารสไตล์อเมริกันซีฟู้ดร้านนี้มีสาขากว่า 67 แห่งทั้งในเอเชียและตะวันออกกลาง โดยสิ่งที่ เดอะแมนฮัตตันฟิชมาร์เกต ใส่ใจมากเป็นพิเศษก็คือการใช้วัตถุดิบที่สดใหม่ สร้างสรรค์เมนูอาหารรสเลิศให้ลูกค้าประทับใจอยู่เสมอ ภายใต้บรรยากาศสบายๆน่านั่ง เป็นโชคดีของเราค่ะที่วันนี้เราไม่ต้องบินไปไกลถึงแมนฮัตตัน ที่นิวยอร์ค เพื่อลิ้มรสอาหารทะเลของร้านนี้ เพราะว่าที่กรุงเทพมหานครเองก็มีสาขาแล้วเหมือนกัน! สัปดาห์นี้ฟู้ดแพนด้าได้แวะไปที่ตลาดปลาในรูปแบบของร้านอาหารร้านนี้กันมาค่ะ และพร้อมที่จะกลับมาแชร์ประสบการณ์อิ่มอร่อยให้ได้ฟังกันแล้วล่ะ!

We chose to visit the Terminal 21 branch and arrived there a little before noon. Normally, The Manhattan Fish Market would get packed during lunch time so we hurried to our seats and ordered straightaway. The restaurant’s menu was overloaded with a long list of dishes, ranging from starters, soups, sides, salads, poached meals, baked, fried, pasta, grilled, flamed to platters and variety treats. We decided to order 5 different dishes plus a dessert to fill in our big appetite today.

เราเลือกแวะไปที่สาขาเทอร์มินอล 21และไปถึงช่วงก่อนเที่ยงพอดี ปกติแล้ว เดอะแมนฮัตตันฟิชมาร์เกต จะแน่นมากในช่วงมื้อกลางวัน ดังนั้นพอไปถึงเราก็รีบหาที่นั่งและลงมือสั่งอาหารทันทีเลย เมนูของที่นี่มีให้เลือกเยอะมากๆค่ะ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นของว่างเรียกน้ำย่อย ซุป สลัด ของทอด พาสต้า และอีกมากมาย คราวนี้เราเลือกสั่งเป็นอาหารคาว 5 เมนู ตามด้วยของหวานอีก 1 จาน มาทานกันให้จุใจไปเลย

Their pasta menu was tempting to try, too. We wanted to try something simple yet extraordinary so we picked The Manhattan Fish Market’s Scallop Americana pasta. Sweet and juicy scallops were sauteed with capsicums and a hint of black pepper. At first, I thought that the amount of black pepper would dominate the taste but it was actually not that strong. The sweet-saltiness of the scallops helped in balancing the taste, resulting to this delicious savory pasta dish. The pasta noodles were well-cooked. The Scallop Americana was a satisfying start, indeed.

พาสต้าเป็นเมนูแรกที่ยั่วน้ำลายมากตอนดูเมนู เราอยากจะลองทานอะไรที่ดูเบสิคแต่อาจจะมีทีเด็ดซ่อนอยู่ ก็เลยลองสั่งเป็น สปาเก็ตตี้หอยเชลล์พริกกระเทียม สูตรเด็ดของ เดอะแมนฮัตตันฟิชมาร์เกต ค่ะ หอยเชลล์ตัวอวบ หวานๆชุ่มๆ ผัดให้เข้ากันกับพริก ปรุงรสด้วยพริกไทยดำเล็กน้อย ตอนแรกคิดว่ารสชาติของพริกไทยดำน่าจะโดดกว่านี้หน่อย แต่จริงๆแล้วรสไม่ได้แรงมากค่ะ ความหวานจากตัวหอยเชลล์ช่วยปรับรสชาติให้อร่อยกำลังดี ทำให้พาสต้าจานนี้เป็น 1 เมนูที่อยากแนะนำให้ชิมกันดู ตัวเส้นก็ต้มได้นิ่มพอดีด้วย โดยรวมแล้วอร่อยมากค่ะ เป็นเมนูเริ่มต้นที่ถือว่าน่าพอใจมากทีเดียว

While eating our pasta we also tried the salad served to us. The Caesar Salad with Whitebait was filled with crispy golden whitebait flakes, surrounded by healthy greens, and topped with Caesar dressing. I would say that it was Manhattan Fish Market’s Caesar dressing that gave this dish such a winning taste, along with the crispy, fresh vegetables.

มาต่อกันที่จานที่ 2 มีใครอยากทานสลัดบ้างไหมเอ่ย? แนะนำเป็นซีซาร์สลัดปลา whitebait ค่ะ ชิ้นปลาทอดกรอบเหลืองทอง เรียงรายอยู่บนผักสลัดใบเขียว ราดด้วยน้ำสลัดซีซาร์ ซึ่งน้ำสลัดตัวนี้ของ เดอะแมนฮัตตันฟิชมาร์เกต นี่แหละค่ะที่ทำให้เมนูนี้อร่อยเป็นพิเศษ

While enjoying these two dishes, we were served their most popular dish, the Manhattan Fish N’ Chips. With its tempting look, this Manhattan Fish Market’s dish is the combination of hand battered fish fillets, drizzled with delicious garlic herb sauce, and complemented with chips and a side salad. Now I know why it’s a favorite among seafood snack lovers. The fish fillet was so crispy, but you may find it moist from the inside. I personally loved the sauce since it was the perfect complement. The chips were chunky, hot, and tasted delicious.

ขณะที่กำลังเพลิดเพลินกับ 2 เมนูนี้อยู่ อาหารอีกหนึ่งจานก็ถูกยกมาเสิร์ฟพอดี จานนี้ต้องบอกเลยว่าเป็นเมนูของ เดอะแมนฮัตตันฟิชมาร์เกต ที่ถูกกล่าวขานถึงเยอะมากๆค่ะ จะเป็นเมนูไหนไปไม่ได้นอกจาก แมนฮัตตัน ฟิชแอนด์ชิปน นั่นเอง ในจานเป็นปลาทอด พร้อมด้วยซอส garlic herb รสเด็ด เสิร์ฟพร้อมกับมันฝรั่งทอดและสลัดขนาดย่อมไว้ทานคู่กันค่ะ ใครที่ชอบทานอาหารซีฟู้ด น่าจะถูกใจเมนูนี้เลย ด้านนอกของชิ้นปลาทอดกรอบมากค่ะ แต่บางคนบ่นว่าด้านในปลาแฉะไปนิด ส่วนตัวชอบซอสเป็นพิเศษนะคะ เพราะแก้เลี่ยนได้ดี ส่วนมันฝรั่งทอดก็ชิ้นใหญ่อยู่ค่ะ เสิร์ฟร้อนๆ รสชาติใช้ได้

Now it’s time for something big! The Calamari Mussels Chicken (CMC) and Small Flame were then served to us. It was hard to choose which one to try first because all looked tempting! This Manhattan Fish Market’s giant serving was full of delicious chicken tenders, grilled calamari and sambal mussels with a side of chips, hot veggies and garlic herb rice. The Chicken tenders really was my pick here. They were crunchy, rich and flavorful. The Garlic herb rice was also incredibly delicious and was a perfect match to the hot veggies. I moved my view to the other huge dish, the Small Flame. This dish, I have to say, will get you craving for it immediately if you love having your seafood grilled! It was a combo of grilled prawns, calamari and dory fillet with a side of chips, hot veggie and garlic herb rice. The prawns were very fresh and the sauce was exceptionally good. I love both of them! Note that eating this dish alone may be too much, so it would be better to share this with a group of friends or family.

ตอนนี้ได้เวลาจัดหนักกันแบบจริงๆแล้วค่ะ! 2 เมนูยักษ์เพิ่งถูกเสิร์ฟบนโต๊ะหมาดๆเลย จานแรกเป็น หมึกวง- หอยแมลงภู่- ไก่ทอด หรือเรียกกันว่า CMC ส่วนอีกจานเป็น แมนฮัตตันทะเลย่าง ค่ะ เลือกไม่ถูกเลยว่าจะลองจานไหนก่อน แต่สุดท้ายก็จิ้มส้อมลงไปบนจานแรกก่อนซะแล้ว อาหารจานยักษ์ของ เดอะแมนฮัตตันฟิชมาร์เกต จานนี้ประกอบไปด้วยไก่ทอดนุ่มลิ้น หมึกวงย่าง และหอยแมลงภู่ พร้อมด้วยมันฝรั่งทอด ผักร้อนๆ และข้าว garlic herb ส่วนตัวแล้วชอบไก่ทอดที่สุดค่ะ กรอบนอกนุ่มใน ส่วนข้าวก็อร่อยเกิดคาดอยู่เหมือนกัน ยิ่งทานคู่ผักร้อนๆ ยิ่งเข้ากันได้ดี หลังจากชิมจานแรกไปพอประมาณแล้ว ขอมูฟไปที่อีกจานบ้างดีกว่า แมนฮัตตันทะเลย่าง จานนี้เนี่ย ถ้าใครชอบทานอาหารทะเลย่างอยู่แล้ว รับรองว่าถูกใจค่ะ เป็นคอมโบกุ้งย่าง หมึกวง และปลาดอลลี่ทอด เสิร์ฟพร้อมกับมันฝรั่งทอด ผักร้อนๆและข้าวเช่นเคย กุ้งของร้านนี้สดมากๆค่ะ และตัวซอสก็รสชาติดีมากทีเดียว หลงรักทั้ง 2 จานเลย แต่แอบกระซิบนิดนึงว่า ถ้าทานคนเดียว ทานไปแปปเดียวก็เลี่ยนแล้วค่ะ สั่งมาแชร์กับเพื่อนหลายๆคนหรือทานกับสมาชิกในครอบครัว ก็เป็นไอเดียที่ดีนะคะ

Warm delicious brownie was floating in the ocean of hot caramel sauce, topped with a creamy vanilla ice cream scoop. It was undeniably a pleasure that a sweet-tooth like me don’t ever want to miss.
